Get Excited for These New Shows This Season Published on September 21, 2016 The temperatures are beginning to cool but primetime television is heating up! Since you’re likely to be spending more time in your home during the upcoming months, Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning is here with the series that we’re excited for this season. So get wrapped up with a cozy blanket and a cup of hot chocolate while you settle in for a TV-packed season. Chicago Justice (Sundays on NBC) Our hearts were won over by the firefighters and EMTs at Firehouse 51. After we met a few police officers and detectives, including not-as-bad-as-we-thought Sgt. Hank Voight, Chicago P.D. was officially on the air. Last fall, a crew of nurses and doctors in Chicago became the much loved Chicago Med, resulting in exciting crossovers with all our Chicago shows. On Sundays this winter, we get to add Chicago Justice to the schedule. We were introduced to a few of the Chicago lawyers on Chicago P.D. last year and this winter we’ll get to follow the team of prosecutors and investigators. Dick Wolf has made quite the franchise with his Chicago-based series that interweave and has the ability to take us from the start of a crime (typically arson), to the investigation (by the Intelligence Unit ran by Voight), to the survivors and the victims (shown through our medical team), and now all the way to the final conclusion where our new heroes will seek justice. 24: Legacy (Sundays on FOX) When we first heard about 24, we immediately heard the “beep, beep, beep” counting down the minutes and our hearts jumped at the thought of Jack Bauer coming back into our living rooms. But alas, as the preview says, it is a new day and we have a new hero. Kiefer Sutherland will be an executive producer for the premiere, but our new hero is Eric Carter, depicted by Corey Hawkins, a military hero coming back to the U.S. with trouble right behind him. He goes to CTU (yes, it’s back!) for help keeping him safe, while of course stopping a terrorist attack. The remake of an old favorite will have the same 24 hour, one episode equals one hour, presentation as before so hopefully we can look forward to the exciting countdowns each commercial break. Designated Survivor (Wednesdays on ABC) Just when you dry your tears over the fact that you won’t be seeing Kiefer Sutherland in the 24 reboot, your hopes are back because he’s going to be on a new show and on this show, instead of saving the president, he is the president. For Designated Survivor, Kiefer Sutherland plays Tom Kirkman, the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, who becomes the POTUS after an explosion eliminates everyone before him in the Presidential line of succession. He’s back, baby! This Is Us (Tuesdays on ABC) If you miss Parenthood, critics say this is the show for you. This Is Us revolves around a group of people who are connected by the fact that they share the same birthday. Rebecca (played by Mandy Moore) and Jack (portrayed by Milo Ventimiglia) are married and getting ready to have three babies on Jack’s 36th birthday. Randall (portrayed by Sterling K. Brown who just received an Emmy for his depiction of Christopher Darden in The People v O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story) is a man using his 36th birthday trying to determine whether or not he should meet his father who abandoned him when he was born. Kate (portrayed by Chrissy Metz) and Kevin (played by Justin Hartley) are twins who are spending their 36th birthday grappling with their unsatisfied lives, with Kate working to change her eating habits and Kevin dissatisfied with his current job.
